Dojo Etiquette

Martial arts cross training is not allowed. Classes are not taught to those individuals who teach/promote or are engaged in any fighting/combat arts.

Doing drugs or selling drugs is not compatible to practicing the art of Ki Aikido.

Alcoholic beverages shall not be consumed before the class is attended.

Food or drinks are not allowed /permitted in the dojo.

Maintain your training Gi clean and mended.

Head coverings of any shape or form are not allowed in the dojo.

Remove rings, necklaces, wristwatches or other ornaments before starting the class.

Turn off the cell phone(s) before entering the dojo.

Trim your nails to prevent scratching/injuring others.

Flip flops/slippers should be always used from the changing room to the mat. Please take them off before stepping on the mat and place them neatly in a row.

During the class the students do not teach others unless the teacher indicates that.

Bow to the teacher after he/she is done explaining an exercise to you or to the class.

Notify the teacher of any pre-existing medical condition or disability prior to training.

Ask the teacher for permission to come on the mat and join the class when arriving late, or for permission to leave early.

Teacher is referred/addressed as “Sensei” both on and off the mat.

Mat fees must be paid prior to start attending classes.
